Native Groundworks was founded by Hawkins Howe with a simple goal: build outdoor spaces the right way, with care, precision, and respect for the craft. Hawkins began working in landscaping at just 14 years old, spending summers as a laborer on outdoor living projects. The work was demanding, but it sparked a lasting appreciation for how thoughtful design and quality construction can transform a property.

After gaining experience in both residential landscaping and commercial concrete work, Hawkins recognized an opportunity to combine craftsmanship, practical knowledge, and a higher standard of execution into a company of his own. In 2023, Native Groundworks was established with a focus on professional landscape construction, hardscaping, planting, drainage, irrigation, and outdoor improvements built to last.

Today, Native Groundworks operates with a dedicated crew and specialized equipment, serving homeowners throughout coastal Delaware and Maryland. Our team takes pride in approaching each project with attention to detail, clear communication, and a commitment to doing the job correctly from the ground up.
